Congratulations to Chimwemwe Jere (“Chims”), the August recipient of ITS’ Peer-to-Peer Award! Chims was nominated for his relentless work on our campus-wide wireless upgrades over the summer, helping to ‘Make it Happen.’ Chims handled the upgrades with a calm, quiet efficiency, never losing his good spirits. In total, 1,000 indoor and 90 outdoor access points have been installed through the upgrade. These access points allow the պ community to roam seamlessly from indoor to outdoor spaces without dropping their connection. For Chims, the best part of the project has been engaging with the diverse պ community. He looks forward to the final stage of this project, adding new wireless access points to outdoor spaces such as athletic fields. These access points will allow students to share their պ experiences, by live streaming games and uploading stats in real-time. Thank you Chims for all that you do at ITS to make it happen!
